THE CO-OPERATIVE CAMBRIDGE FOLK FESTIVAL 2010 T-SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION

We are pleased to launch the third year of our very successful t-shirt design competition.

Last year’s design by Les Welch fitted in completely with the feel of the Festival and we are very eager to see what designs people come up with this year.

The Prize: Two full Festival tickets for next year’s Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival 29 July – 1 August 2010 and one (two person tent) camping pass for Cherry Hinton Hall, Acknowledgement in the 2010 Festival Programme and One free t-shirt of each style with the winning design.

The Brief: The design must reflect, promote or celebrate the ‘Festival’. For example key elements of the event including the people, environment, music, performance etc. Artists should consider their design’s suitability and relevance to the Festival and its audience. The wording ‘The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival 2010’ must be included. The design must be an image suitable to be placed onto the front of a white or black t-shirt (no sleeve or back image will be considered). Designs can be original hand drawn or painted artwork or electronically designed.

How to Enter: Entries may be made either electronically in jpeg or pdf format at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, via e-mail to wendy.godfrey@cambridge.gov.uk, or on disc or original artwork submitted to Wendy Godfrey, Arts and Entertainments, Cambridge City Council, The Guildhall, Cambridge, CB2 3QJ. All artwork must be received by Monday 8 February. Whether submitting electronically or by post, please complete and attach the competition entry form. Entries will not be considered unless this is completed. If you wish your artwork to be returned, please enclose a self addressed envelope with sufficient pre-paid postage.
